MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
We are excited that you are considering membership with the Silver Spring Church of God family!
If you are new to SSCOG, you may find it helpful to review our beliefs and core values to better understand our calling and mission for Christ. Also, reviewing the information at Plan Your Visit will help you navigate our serivces.
Ready to make it official? There are only 4 easy steps to becoming part of the fellowship.
STEP 1:
VISIT ON A SUNDAY MORNING AND AFTER MORNING WORSHIP, SPEAK WITH ONE OF OUR MINISTERS AND LET THEM KNOW YOUR INTENTIONS FOR JOINING OUR FELLOWSHIP. WE'LL GET YOU REGISTERED FOR ONE OF OUR MEMBERSHIP CLASSES.
STEP 2:
ATTEND THE NEW MEMBERSHIP CLASS.
New Membership classes take place after morning service, last four weeks and run from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
In the class, you will:

Receive a comprehensive overview of the Bible

Learn about SSCOG's beliefs, ministry and doctrine

Discover what your spiritual gifts/interests are

Receive a welcome and challenge from our senior pastor, Rev. Derrick Nash and

Enjoy a complementary beverage from the He-Brews Cafe and fellowship with other new members.
Prior to coming to class, please complete the following:

Spiritual Gifts Assessment -- please complete the online assessment, print your results and bring them with you to class.

Purchase and review the Membership Handbook from the bookstore.
STEP 3:
COMPLETE THE 4 WEEK NEW MEMBERSHIP CLASS AND RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE.
STEP 4:
TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHERE YOUR NEW CHURCH HOME IS LOCATED
