MINISTER BARBARA WELLS
Serving as one of the Associate Ministers at SSCOG, Minister Barbara Wells optimizes her time for Kingdom work. In addition to her ministerial duties, Barbara is one of the teachers for the New Members Class, works with Vacation Bible School and plays a vital role in outreach. These activities stem from her deeply rooted desire to serve God by serving His people.
It is that sense of service that lead her to work as the Education Coordinator at Milwaukee's Dominican Center, in the private sector. Located in one of the city's most impoverished areas, Barbara works with adults seeking to obtain their high school diploma.
Barbara has spent time volunteering as an advocated for parents of children with disabilities and supported them through the classification process. Furthermore, she has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 26 years as an educator.
She earned her MBA in Educational Leadership from Concordia University giving her more opportunities to help those neglected by the system. She received her Certificate in Theology, from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta Georgia, under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Calhoun of Grace Fellowship Church of Milwaukee.
Barbara has held various church positions in her service to God. Her motto is, never stop learning. Knowledge is power.
Barbara is married to her husband Dale and together they have three children and a host of grandchildren.
